The Statement of Compliance issued by ClassNK cer- tiÞ es that the facility and its recycling procedures are fully in compliance with the Hong Kong Inter- national Convention for the Safe and Environmen-tally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009 (Hong Kong Convention). This marks the Þ rst time that a ship recycling yard has achieved this certiÞ cation.Lürssen Group Buys the Peene Shipyard In a meeting of the creditor committee, and acting on the suggestion of the insolvency administrator, Berthold Brinkmann, P+S WERFTEN decided in favor of the Lürssen Group (Bremen) as the buyer of the Peene shipyard in Wolgast. This decision is subject to approval by the creditors holding liens on the property. The purchase agreement has already been concluded. As of May 1, 2013, the Lürssen Group will acquire the compact shipyard with its repair and new construction area. The purchase is also subject to approval by the Federal Cartel Of-Þ ce. The purchase price is less than $26m. Teekay LNG: Two LNG Newbuildings Teekay LNG Partners L.P. entered into an agree- ment with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engi-neering CO., LTD., (DSME) of South Korea for the construction of two 173,400 cu. m. LiqueÞ ed Natu- ral Gas (LNG) carrier newbuildings, with options to order up to three additional vessels. The partnership intends to secure long-term contract employment for both vessels prior to their delivery in the Þ rst half of 2016. The newbuildings will be constructed with M-type, Electronically Controlled, Gas Injec-tion (MEGI) twin engines, which are expected to be signiÞ cantly more fuel-ef Þ cient and have lower emission levels than other engines currently being utilized in LNG shipping.Blank Rome LLP Named ?Best Law Firm? Keppel Expands Foothold in Mexican Offshore Market Keppel FELS won a contract from PEMEX Explor- acion y Produccion to build two KFELS B Class jack-up rigs worth $420m. Scheduled for delivery in 1Q 2015, the high speciÞ cation rigs will be the 19th and 20th KFELS B Class rigs on order at Kep-pel, with 36 already delivered in the past decade. New ECDIS Course: Training the Trainer Kongsberg Maritime launched a new ECDIS In- structor Training course designed to train Captains and senior personnel, so they can train other ofÞ cers and crew members in familiarization of KONGS-BERG ECDIS on board vessels.
