Donjon, Smit Americas form Joint Venture Marine salvage and response compa- nies Donjon Marine Co., Inc. and SMIT Americas announced a new joint ven- ture known as Donjon-SMIT, An OPA- 90 Alliance. This new response organi- zation has been created specifically for compliance and response services as required by the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA-90). "This new strategic venture between Donjon and SMIT will utilize our indi- vidual long-term support of the overall needs of the marine community and provide joint services for compliance and response related to OPA-90 require- ments, a very critical component of operating in today's marine environ- ment," said John Witte, Executive Vice President of Donjon.
