Andrasick has been named president and CEO of Matson Navigation Company, Inc.. the largest subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin. Inc., effec- tive August 1. 2003. Andrasick, who had been serving in that position on an inter- im basis since July 1, 2002, will contin- ue as executive vice president of A&B. while holding inter- im CFO responsibil- ities until a replace- ment is named in the near future. Also: Dave Hoppes has been promoted to ^^^ V.P., ocean services; I^^Jf^^^^l Jack Sullivan now Sullivan holds the position of V.P.. vessel opera- tions; Gary North will assume the title of senior V.P.. Munoz to Head Fleet Ops at ACBE Mario Munoz has been promoted to director of Fleet Operations for American Commercial Barge Line LLC. Munoz, whose responsibilities will include management of fleet operations. fleet vessel contractors and land leases, is a graduate of the University of South Alabama and is currently pursuing and MBA from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky. RCCL Appoints Danis as V.P. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. appoint- ed Jeff Danis as the cruise line's new vice president of Supply Chain Management. Danis will be responsible for overseeing worldwide procurement, inventory management, distribution, warehousing, and shipping operations for both Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises. New CEO at Sonsub Sonsub confirms that Massimo "Max" Ferraris has been elected as CEO of Sonsub Inc. as well as Saipem's Manager of the Subsea Robotics Business line. He has corporate respon- sibility for all of the Sonsub group activ- ities, coordinating and directing the regional areas around the world. Ferraris has also been confirmed to the position of Area Manager- North Atlantic for Saipem. Nixon Roessland Sets out Life Saving Priorities Ove Roessland, managing director of lifeboat and davit specialist Schat-Harding, has been elected as chairman of ILAMA, the International Lifesaving Appliance Manufacturers' Association. Roessland, who outlined his priorities and missions following the election at the ILAMA AGM in Gothenburg this past June, stated his con- cerns and wishes for his upcoming tenure: "There are too many accidents occurring because critical parts of life saving appli- ances, such as the life boat hooks, are either not serviced or are serviced by untrained and unqualified people. We intend to put the technical strength of ILAMA to work at IMO to ensure that there is a clear and safe international regime for the inspec- tion and maintenance of life saving appli- ances. There is a very good regime in place for liferafts, and we want to get that extend- ed to cover boats and davits." Hanby Appointed President, COO at McDonough David C.
