Walpert, Halter Marine Group's senior vice presi- dent of Corporate Affairs, has been elected Louisiana state president of the Navy League of the U.S. The Navy League is a civilian maritime organization founded in 1902, dedicated to educating Americans about sea power. Its Harvey Walpert 70,000 members in 330 councils worldwide engage in activities supportive of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine. Halter Delivers Seacor Vision Halter Marine has delivered Seacor Vision, a 225-ft., 12,280- bhp anchor handling/towing sup- ply (AHTS) vessel to Seacor Smit, Inc. Built at Halter's Moss Point Marine, the vessel is the first in a series of four contracted by Seacor, designed to meet requirements for deepwater service in the Gulf of Mexico and the worldwide market.
