American Shipyard Completes Military Contracts American Shipyard Corp. has successfully completed a government ship repair con- tract worth more than $2.5 million. Work included approximately $1.5 million for the overhaul of two U.S. Army tugs based out of Baltimore, Md. These contracts were secured last fall with the assistance of Rhode Island Congressman Patrick Kennedy. American Shipyard is presently negotiat- ing for more government contracts withi U.S. military fleet, and bidding or government contracts is set tinue, along with repair ano with local and regions interests.
