Halferty to the position of vice president and chief engineer. Mr. Halferty's professional car- eer includes 26 years in the electri- cal distribution and controls indus- try, servicing the residential, com- mercial, industrial, U.S. Navy and marine electrical power distribu- tion markets. Prior to his latest appointment, he served as director of R&D for Siemens Energy & Automation. In the past, Mr. Halferty was also employed in an engineering man- agement capacity for I-T-E Imperial Corporation. Lauderdale, Fla., as staff surveyor and construction manager. For the past ten years, Mr. Szetela has owned MBT Marine Survey Co., a Morehead City, N.C., and Ft. Lauderdale company engaged in performing surveys, damage claims service, refit supervision and expert wit- ness testimony. In his new posi- tion, he will conduct independent surveys; manage newbuild con- struction, refits and repairs; and assist in the preparation of insur- ance claims as related to major repairs and refits.
