Schelde Shipbuilding Lays Keel For Amphibicus The keel for Rotterdam, an Amphibious Transport Ship (ATS) for the Royal Netherlands Navy, was laid on February 23 at the Schelde- East yard of Schelde Shipbuilding. The ATS is scheduled to be delivered in 1997, and is designed for crisis control calamity situations, as well as humanitarian aid and evacuations. The vessel is being built in a modular form, and it is being classed by Lloyd's Register.
