MarAd Modifies Rules MarAd is publishing a final rule in the Federal Register amending regulations prescribing procedures for obtaining seamen's service awards to conform to the provi- sions of the PL. 100-324, Merchant Marine Decorations and Medals Act of 1988. This rule modifies 46 CFR Part 350 by specifying the medals, awards and decorations that the Secretary of Transportation may issue, and by establishing the pro- cedure for determining eligibility to receive these indicia of recogni- tion for service in the U.S. mer- chant marine.
