O'MalUy Freeport Shipbuilding To Build Corps Motortender Freeport Shipbuilding has been awarded a contract to build a 50-ft. (15.2-m) motortender for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The new workboat will support various tasks associated with the Old Hickory Lock and Dam on Tennesse's Cumberland River, located within the Corps' Nashville District. The vessel will be outfitted with twin 380-hp Cat- erpillar 3406-B engines and Twin Disc reverse reduction gears. De- livery is scheduled for the summer of 1996. Freeport Shipbuilding and Marine Repair builds workboats and passenger vessels.
