Nor-Shipping '95 Oslo, Norway June 13-16, 1995 1965 - 1995 Firmly anchored IVOR- SHIPPING Sj0lyst Exhibition Centre, Oslo - Norway Nor-Shipping '95, Norway's in- ternational shipping and maritime offshore exhibition and conference, is set to take place on June 13-16, in Oslo. Over the last 30 years, Nor- Shipping has become an interna- tional institution and meeting place for marine professionals worldwide. This year's event features an ex- panded exhibition area, with more than 15 national pavilions, includ- ing the newly organized Austrian pavilion. Other exhibition new- comers hail from the U.S., the U.K., Denmark, Spain, Canada, Poland, China and Russia. Nor-Shipping '95 is expected to draw more than 400 exhibitors, rep- resenting 1,000 companies from 30 or more countries. Shipowning and vessel management companies are expected to account for 20 percent of attendees at the event, and 30 percent of Nor-Shipping partici- pants are expected to be represen- tatives of ship's equipment compa- nies. Nor-Shipping '95 will present a full spectrum of maritime related products and services, including a number of new products. Maritime electronics will be strongly repre- sented, and other product segments featured prominently at the show will include maintenance, safety and rescue, and maritime offshore and supply activities. "The envi- ronmental dimension is also becom- ing increasing integrated in the range of products displayed at Nor- Shipping," according to sales man- ager and Nor-Shipping '95 team member Bj0rn Myhrvold. Included among the exhibiting companies will be maritime inter- est agencies, such as the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service, which will have a business information office at the conference in order to accomplish its goal of establishing greater trade with Norwegian ship- ping interests. Intercargo (The In- ternational Association of Dry Bulk Shipowners) will also hold its ex- ecutive committee meeting concur- rent with Nor-Shipping, in recogni- tion of the formidable industry rep- resentation in Oslo for the week.
