The boat, built for Cook Inlet Spill Prevention and Response, Inc., is powered by a Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engine which operates at 435 hp at 2,800 rpm. The Caterpillar engine drives the vessel's waterjet through a ZF reduction gear. The engine is cooled by a Fernstrum keel cooler.
