SNAME 94th Ai The 94th Annual Meeting of The Society of Naval Architects and Ma- rine Engineers and the concurrent Fifth International 5th International Maritime Exposi- tion will be held at The New York Hilton Hotel November 19-22,1986. Society membership has now in- creased to approximately 12,000, in- cluding the most influential individ- uals in the marine industry. The meeting will feature an out- standing technical program of 13 state-of-the-art papers selected for presentation by the Society's Pa- pers Committee, chaired by Jack Obermeyer. Topics will include: innovative icebreaker bow design; developments in oceanographic ship design; ocean drilling equipment ca- pabilities; ship propulsion gas tur- bine engines; time simulation of ship motions; shiphandling per- formance in restricted water; and instability of small high-speed craft. Concurrent technical sessions will be held in the Trianon and Mercury Ballrooms on the third floor No- vember 20 and 21. The Exposition, which has be- come the most important and suc- cessful commercial marine industry show in the United States, will once again provide a marketplace for the display and demonstration of ma- rine products and services.
