Greene, executive vice president of Louisiana Dock Company, has announced the appointments of Wayne P. LaGrange as Ha- rahan shipyard manager, and Garrold L. Wyne as shipyard supervisor. Mr. LaGrange will have operational respon- sibility for the Harahan Shipyard, which serves customers operating on the Lower Mississippi River and Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. He pre- viously held the position of vice president-pro- duction at Jeffboat, Incorporated, and will have continuing responsibilities for the Marine Re- pair Division of Jeffboat. Mr. Wyne will support the Harahan opera- tion with his expertise in towboat and specialty vessel construction. He previously was superin- tendent-towboat construction at Jeffboat. Bennett to executive vice president and chief operating officer, and George W. Thom- ason to senior vice president and chief financial officer. The announcement was made by Con- rad Everhard, president and chief executive officer for the line. Mr. Bennett joins American Hawaii from London-based Furness Withy Terminals Ltd., where he served as managing director. His spe- cific responsibilities included overall profitabili- ty, monitoring financial and operational per- formance and developing new business opportu- nities. Mr. Bennett also served as director of Long Beach Container Terminal, Inc. of Long Beach, Calif.; Clark Maryland Terminal, Inc. of Baltimore; Liberty Intermodal, Inc. of New York and Halterm Limited of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Mr. Thomason was promoted to his new post from within the company; he previously served as vice president and controller for Amer- ican Hawaii.
