93rd SNA The 93rd Annual Meeting and Fourth International Maritime Ex- position of The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Fourth International will be held November 13-16 at the New York Hilton. The Exposition will again occupy the entire 25,000 square feet of exhibit space on the second floor of the Hilton. Some 150 companies will display their prod- ucts and services to a large cross sec- tion of maritime industry leaders from around the world. Exposition hours are from 2 to 6 pm on Wed- nesday, November 13; 10 am to 6 pm on Thursday; and 10 am to 4 pm on Friday. Registration for the An- nual Meeting includes admission to the Exposition; tickets for daily ad- mission will be available at the registration desk at $7 each. SNAME's Papers Committee, chaired by Capt. Jack A. Ober- meyer, USN (Ret.), has selected 13 papers to be presented in the third floor Trianon and Mercury Ball- rooms on November 14 and 15. Among the topics are: semisubmer- sible stability, diesel engine propul- sion shafting systems, rough propel- ler penalties, icebreaker structure under extreme loads, new warship design strategy, and evaluating 50 Maritime Reporter/Engineering News
