Unitor Announces Two New Services For Marine Refrigeration With shipboard refrigeration sys- tems particularly vulnerable to mal- function and costly breakdowns, Unitor, an Actinor company, an- nounced two new services for ma- rine refrigeration: Preventative Technical Inspection (PTI) and Service And Repair (SAR). To combat malfunctions and costly breakdowns of shipboard re- frigeration systems, Unitor Group will offer Preventative Technical In- spection. The objective of PTI is the advance diagnosis of irregularities and weaknesses of onboard refriger- ation services. As an "early warn- ing" program, this service allows the necessary preventive action to be taken before major problems or even complete breakdowns occur. Unitor's extensive service network is worldwide, covering all the major ports throughout the world, making this service widely available. In addition, Unitor offers Service And Repair (SAR), a complete pro- gram whereby reported irregulari- ties concerning the operation and function of any refrigeration system can be rectified by the direct en- gagement of a Unitor Service engi- neer. Unitor Service engineers are fully qualified to handle almost any repair or modification work, regard- less of the system, size or complex- ity. Should it be necessary, the Ser- vice Engineer will travel with the vessel to avoid costly downtime. Unitor has for some years been supplying refrigerants, tools and re- frigeration equipment to the marine industry. The Unitor organization is featuring a network of depots in more than 450 ports worldwide. Unitor is now expanding their activ- ities to include a new concept in Marine Refrigeration Services which takes the development one step further toward customer care. Unitor is said to be the only marine organization to offer these two new services on a worldwide basis, while ensuring service uni- formity, central reporting and data build up.
