NICOR And Sonat Subsea Form Gulf Joint Venture —Literature Available NICOR Marine Inc. and Sonat Subsea Services Inc. recently an- nounced that they have entered into a cooperative agreement to offer un- derwater services in the Gulf of Mexico. A NICOR Marine vessel has been modified to accommodate Sonat Subsea saturation diving and remotely operated vehicle equip- ment and personnel. NICOR Marine and S & H Diving Corporation, the U.S. operating di- vision of Sonat Subsea Services, will provide these sophisticated diving services via the 216-foot diesel-elec- tric-powered M/V Acadian Seafar- er, renamed M/V NICOR Subsea. The M/V NICOR Subsea will be available this month for work in the Gulf of Mexico following extensive retrofitting, to include: addition of a moonpool; stern roller; four point mooring system capable of 1,000- foot water depths, 12-man satura- tion diving system; quarters for 39 crew members; and remotely oper- ated vehicle (ROV) capability. NICOR Marine, a subsidiary of NICOR Inc., is hedquartered in New Orleans, La., and provides off- shore rig support, vessel chartering, ocean towing, seismic research as- sistance and other offshore services. The four-page brochure offers technical data, applications advice and accessories for this unique pump. The G-Pump is a portable hy- draulic pump.
