Among the topics to be discussed are the cause and correction of propeller-induced vibration, noise reduction for U.S. Coast Guard patrol boats, ship man- ning trends in Northern Europe, and government policies affecting maritime innovation. At the luncheon on Thursday, November 8, SNAME president and chairman/chief executive officer, NASSCO, Larry French will de- liver the address, and several impor- tant awards will be made.
