Managerial Changes Announced By Dover The Norris Division of Butterfly Valve Group of Dover Corpora- tion, Tulsa, Okla., announced the appointment of Frank G. Da- Vanon as Central Gulf Coast dis- trict sales manager. Mr. Da- Vanon will be based out of the company's Houston facility. At the same time, it was an- nounced that Keith Lehman has been promoted to Midwest area sales manager. Mr. Lehman was previously the sales representa- tive for butterfly valves in Okla- homa, Kansas and the Texas panhandle. Norris is a Tulsa-based manu- facturer of butterfly valves, sucker rods, pumps and controls used ex- tensively in shipbuilding and oil production. The facility's strategic location will reduce re- sponse time and costs for East Coast customers who have previ- ously been served from National Marine's St. Louis base. Service crews will travel to job locations along the East Coast and overseas from the Norfolk location, which will also carry a substantial inven- tory of new and remanufactured diesel engine parts. National Marine offers shipyard services as well as diesel engine parts and service to Inland, Gulf and East Coast customers through its full service shipyards in St. Louis, Mo., New Orleans, La., and Grafton, II. For over 50 years the Transport Division of National Marine has provided contract bulk liquid transportation on the In- land and Gulf waterways. National Marine Service Incor- porated is one of the NICOR basic energy companies. $19.9-Million Contract Awarded Tracor By Navy Tracor, Inc., Austin, Texas, has received a multiyear contract from the U.S. Navy Electronic Systems Engineering Activity, St. Inigoes, Md., to provide engineering sup- port services for test and evalua- tion programs. William C. Moyer, Ph.D., group vice president of Tracor Applied Sciences, said the work represents significant new involvement of the company in the integration, test, and evaluation of new and refur- bished communications systems for combatant and auxiliary ships, as well as for U.S. Marine Corps applications. The one-year contract includes two one-year options and has a to- tal potential value of $19,985,000. Dr. Moyer said the work will be performed by Tracor's Electronics Systems Division from its opera- tions in St. Inigoes, Md.; Falls Church and Norfolk, Va.; and San Diego, Calif. The division is under the general management of Rob- ert G. Shuster, division vice president. Mr. Shuster announced that Ara Sagerian will serve as proj- ect manager, and that a 50,000 square-foot building now under construction at California, Md., will be the principal operating site for the project.
