Roland Malins-Smith Joins Concorde Line As Vice President Roland Malins-Smith has been appointed a vice president of Con- corde Line, according to an an- nouncement by Donald T. Quinn, Concorde's president. Mr. Malins- Smith will be located at Con- corde Lines' home office in Miami, Fla. Prior to joining Concorde, he had been general manager of West Indies Shipping Corpora- tion (WISCO) in Port of Spain, Trinidad. A native of Grenada, Mr. Malins-Smith joined the Carib- bean Community Secretariat in Georgetown, Guyana, in 1970 as a research assistant (shipping), and was promoted to senior econ- omist by 1976. He was appointed general manager of West Indies Shipping in April 1977, and was the main architect of WISCO's financial recovery. In his new position, Mr. Malins- Smith is expected to play a major role in Concorde Line's expanding Caribbean services. Concorde recently added two more vessels and commenced containership service from New York, Baltimore, and St. John, New Brunswick to Jamaica, Hai- ti, Dominican Republic, and Trin- idad. These two new ships are in addition to the three RO/RO vessels operating out of Miami to Caribbean destinations.
