— Wgl"J!': The passenger/supply vessel Marina S. was delivered by Mississippi Marine of Greenville. She is second built by that yard for Dinko's Marine Service. Passenger/Supply Vessel Delivered By Mississippi Marine The Marina S., a passenger/ supply vessel built for Dinko's Marine Service of Aransas Pass, Texas, has been completed by Mis- sissippi Marine Towboat Corpora- tion of Greenville, Miss. The new vessel will be available for con- tract work in Gulf waters from Brownsville, Texas, to Key West, Fla. Marina S. can accommodate 33 passengers plus a crew of four. She is 100 feet long, with a beam of 24 feet, depth of 11 feet 6 inches, and normal operating draft of 8 feet. The craft is powered by twin Detroit Diesel 16V-71 engines with a total output of 910 bhp, coupled to Twin Disc gears with a reduction ratio of 5.17:1. A pair of Lima 50-kw gener- ators driven by Detroit Diesel model 4-71 engines operating at 1,200 rpm provide electrical pow- er. The vessel is fitted with a dual station Orbitrol steering system, Decca RM914C radar, Sperry 8T autopilot, and a central water- cooled air-conditioning system. Other equipment includes Ray- theon VHF-50A radio, Dubose SSB radio, Tl-9900 Loran C from Tex- as Instruments, a Furuno F-850 depth finder, and a Kahlenberg D-2 air horn. Fuel capacity is 18,494 gallons, potable water capacity 1,705 gal- lons, cargo water capacity 37,644 gallons, lube oil capacity 150 gal- lons, and deck cargo capacity of approximately 35 tons. Ray Tsuneyoshi Named Vice President For Pacific Towboat Tom Opatz, president of Pacific Towboat & Salvage, Seattle, an- nounced recently that Ray Tsune- yoshi has been promoted to the new position of vice president and manager of marketing and plan- ning for Pacific Towboat & Sal- vage. According to Mr. Opatz, "The appointment follows the continuous growth in Dillingham Maritime and, in particular, Pa- cific Towboat & Salvage." Mr. Tsuneyoshi will be respon- sible for marketing and planning for the entire division. In addi- tion, he will continue to manage the THUMS contract for the du- ration of the current contract term. Baker Marine Corporation, San Patricio County, Texas, is the proposed builder. Delivery is scheduled for June 1981.
