Dredge Technology Announces Contracts Dredge Technology Corpora- tion, a company owned jointly by IHC Holland and John J. McMul- len Associates, Inc., has been se- lected to provide dredging equip- ment for the new dredge Eagle I, owned by Eagle Dredging Corpo- ration, a joint venture of Royal Adriaan Volker Company of Rot- terdam, Holland, and C.F. Bean Company in New Orleans, La. This order covers most of the dredging system for the vessel and is valued at several million dollars. The preliminary and con- tract designs for this ship were prepared by Dredge Technology Corp., utilizing the services of McMullen Associates and IHC Holland. At the same time, Dredge Tech- nology announced receipt of a con- tract for the preliminary design of a new split hull trailing suction hopper dredge for T.L. James & Company of Ruston, La. This ship design will also be a joint effort by IHC Holland and McMullen Associates, with IHC Holland pre- paring the preliminary design and McMullen Associates preparing the contract design to U.S. stand- ards. Hands as president and chief operating officer of Worthington Compressors, Inc., Holyoke, Mass., effective January 1,1979, has been announced. Geoffrey W. Hands Mr. Hands, presently president of Worthington-Turbodyne Inter- national, Inc., Brussels, Belgium, will be headquartered at Worth- ington Compressors' corporate headquarters in Holyoke, accord- ing to O.E. Powers, chairman and chief executive, who made the announcement. Mr. Hands joined Turbodyne Corporation as chief financial of- ficer in December 1973. In Janu- ary 1977, he was appointed presi- dent of Worthington-Turbodyne International, Inc., when all in- ternational activities of both the Compressor and Turbodyne com- panies were placed under a single management, including manufac- turing, marketing and sales. He is a certified pubilc accountant, and received his A.B. degree from Dartmouth College and his MBA degree from Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. Prior to joining Turbodyne, he was as- sociated with McKinsey and Com- pany, and Arthur Andersen & Co. Gdynia America Line Names Eccles And Mullen Gdynia America Line, Inc., gen- eral agents for Polish Ocean Lines, has announced the ap- pointments of Walter Eccles and Gregory F. Mullen as account managers in their Sales and Mar- keting Department. Mr. Eccles joined Gdynia Amer- ica Line, Inc., after having previ- ously served Funch Edye & Co., America Mail Line, Kerr Steam- ship Co. and most recently, Bar- ber Steamship Co. in the capacity of sales and traffic representative.
