GULF SECTION QUARTERLY MEETING — Members of the Gulf Section of The So- ciety of Naval Architects and Marine Engi- neers recently held their Quarterly Evening Dinner and Technical Session at the Foun- tainbleau Motor Hotel, New Orleans, La. Those in attendance heard a paper, "Char- acteristics of Ultrasonic Testing," following the meal. The author, David V. Raacke, a consultant with Owensby & Kritikos, Inc., Gretna, La., also showed slides which vis- ually demonstrated the advantages of this type testing.
