It had docked in London, the first port of. call on its maiden voyage to Bangkok. The SELANDIA was de- livered to The East Asiatic Company by Burmeister & Wain in February, 1912. This revolutionary innova- tion that created wherever it appeared, had a deadweight capacity of 7,400 tons, two diesel en- gines with a total of 2,020 hp., and logged a steady 11- 12 knots.
