WABCO Fluid Power Offers New Bulletin On 'Logicmaster' Unit A new .bulletin describing Logic- masterâ„¢ Marine Propulsion Con- trol Systems for pilothouse control for marine engines with hydraulic clutch reverse gears has been is- sued by WABCO Fluid Power Di- vision, Lexington, Ky. Bulletin M-151.00 describes the Logicmaster pneumatic propulsion control system featuring interlocks mi and protective circuits for sa ror-free operation under all vering conditions. With master control systems, prop machinery responds to man ing demands without wear or age from high-speed clutch e ment, or engine stalling on f; versals. The division is a member of the American-Stand- ard Power and Controls Group. Texaco Lie. Appoints William J. Carlin William J. Carlin Texaco Inc. has announced the appointment of William J. Carlin as manager of the company's inter- national marine sales activities in Latin America and West Africa. In his new position, located in New York, Mr. Carlin will assume the responsibilities of Charles L. Hauck, who is retiring after 28 years of service with Texaco. Mr. Carlin joined Texaco in 1967 in the international marine sales department, after serving with a Texaco affiliate company for 13 years. He graduated from Ford- ham University in New York City, with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1968. In 1969, Mr. Carlin was named manager, marine sales in Panama. In 1971, he was appoint- ed marketing assistant in Texaco's international marine sales depart- ment in New York. In 1972, he was named assistant manager for international marine sales in Latin America and West Africa. Mr. Hauck was graduated from Lebanon Valley College in Ann- ville, Pa., in 193'5 with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics. He joined Texaco in 1946 and served in various sales positions until 1967, when he was appointed assistant general manager for international marine sales in the Western Hemi- sphere and West Africa. In 1971, Mr. Hauck was appointed assist- ant general manager for interna- tional marine sales in Latin Amer- ica and West Africa. $20-Million Contract To Morrison-Knudsen The Alyeska Pipeline Service Company has awarded a $20-million contract to Morrison-Knudsen Co., Inc., for the initial rock excavation at the site of the Southern Marine Terminal of the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline at Valdez, Alaska.
