Richard J. Boyle To Head Honeywell's Marine Systems Div. Honeywell president Stephen F. Keating has announced the promo- tion of Richard J. Boyle to vice president and general manager of the company's Marine Systems Di- vision, which has facilities in Se- attle, Wash., and West Covina, Calif. Mr. Boyle, who will "be based in Seattle, succeeds Theodor F. Heuter, whose new assignment will be made later. Mr. Boyle was Seattle operations manager for the Marine Systems Division from 1968 to 1971, when he went to Minneapolis as corpo- rate director of environmental pro- grams. He was named director of environmental and urban control systems in September 1972, respon- sible for the initiation, coordination and expansion of the company's efforts in the control of air and water pollution and other environ- mental problems. Mr. Boyle joined Honeywell in 1957, after graduation from Mar- quette University with a degree in electrical engineering. He progress- ed through a series of service engi- neering, project management, mar- keting management, and general management positions prior to be- ing named Seattle operations mana- ger. The organization designs and manufac- tures systems for ships and sub- marines, advanced data handling and signal processing equipment, radar-navigation trainers and com- mercial marine systems. Rose Barge Line Promotes Moore To Newly Created Post 20 Ronald E. Moore Earl C. Rose Jr., president of Rose Barge Line, Clayton, Mo., has announced the promotion of Ronald E. Moore to the newly cre- ated position of manager for ter- minal and fleet services. Mr. Moore will coordinate all activities 'between operations, dis- patch and sales with customer ter- minals and associated public and private fleeting services. He joined Rose Barge Line in 1970 as a dispatcher, and has been serving as sales and traffic repre- sentative. A native of St. Louis, he attend- ed the Central Missouri State Col- lege and served in the Marine Corps Reserve. In his new position, Mr. Moore will gather and maintain informa- tion on all operations and negotiate any agreements with related serv- ice facilities. ITT Rayonier Names Richard M. Mueller Marine Operations Mgr. Richard M. Mueller has been named to the new position of man- ager of marine operations at ITT Rayonier Inc., New York, N.Y., it has been announced by R.E. Heine, director of transportation and distribution. Mr. Mueller will supervise ocean shipping of Rayonier products and have responsibility for equipment design, scheduling, towing, ship performance and cost control, ste- vedoring and chartering. A graduate of Harvard College, he worked for seven years with Farreill Lines, Inc. of New York as assistant pier superintendent, and for five years with Internation- al Paper Company as manager of shipping systems.
