FIRST FOR HONDURAS: The modern and fully auto- mated combination ship Morazan (shown above) is the first cargo ship to fly the national flag of Honduras. Named after the liberator of Honduras, the Morazan was officially greeted in Porto Cortez by the president and first lady of Honduras on its maiden voyage from Gijon, Spain, where it was built. The vessel was presented to the president of Honduras by Joe Teitelbaum, president of Eagle Inc., Miami, Fla., co-owners of Conasa Line with the Honduran Government. Captained by Honduran Ar- turo Fernandez and crewed by graduates from the Hon- duran Merchant Marine Academy, the new vessel will operate from Miami in .two-way cargo trade between the Republic of Honduras and the United States. Designed to carry 143 dry or refrigerated containers, the Morazan can carry more than 2,000 tons of high dollar value general cargo plus 160 tons of edible oil. Arceneaux as vice president and general manager, and Christian L. Olivier III as vice president, Shipyard Division, has been announced by R.H. Mar- mande, president of the Delta Iron Works Division of Chromalloy American Corporation, Houma, La. Mr. Arceneaux joined Delta in 1968 as Ship- yard Division manager. His prior experience includes 17 years with two major shipyards in the Morgan City, La., area. In 1970, Mr. Arceneaux was named vice president of the Shipyard Division, a position he held until given his new assignment. He is a civil engi- neering graduate of Indiana Institute of Tech- nology and is a member of The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. In his new position, Mr. Arceneaux will manage and coordinate all operational aspects of Delta Iron. Mr. Olivier joined Delta in 1968 as an engi- neering estimator in the Shipyard Division. Prior to that, he was with the Boeing Com- pany as a design engineer for six years. A native of Houma, La., Mr. Olivier received a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. Norton, Lilly & Co.
