Another successful and well-attended Annual Ladies' Night was hosted by the Hawaii Sec- tion of The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers on February 8, 1972, at the Ala Moana Banquet Hall. Papers chairman Dr. Ludwig Seidl planned an informal program to interest the ladies. Joe Hanson, oceanographer, assisted by Bill Woods, social scienitist, presented a history of the Hawaiian Island Chain from an ecologi- cal standpoint.
