Sound Metrics Wins Japanese Order Sound Metrics received an order from Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) for 17 DIDSON Diver-Held Systems. In their search for victims following the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan, JMSDF, state and local agencies routinely deployed equipment loaned to them by Sound Metrics. While JMSDF had access to many new technologies for their search and recovery opera- tions, it was the DIDSON?s ease of use and near video-like imagery that led JMSDF to order 17 units that will be placed with agencies at ports around the country. Sound Metrics designed and manufactures the DID- SON brand of acoustic imagingsonars that has exceptional image clarity. www.soundmetrics.com McFarlane Receives Lifetime Award MTR#9 (34-49):MTR Layouts 11/29/2011 9:48 AM Page 48
