In recent years, AXYS has diversified with new hydrological products for freshwater monitoring, and teamed up with athird party to offer the worlds first offshore wind resource assessment buoy. Technology profile: AXYS designs, builds, deploys, and services a variety of marine products including moored buoys for weather, wave, and sea state forecasting, as well as buoys for spe- cialized applications such as renew- able energy resource assessment, tsunami, red tide, and oil spill detec- tion. The new AXYS WindSentinel is the worlds first wind resource assess- ment buoy, designed to gather data at turbine hub-height and across the blade span. Other AXYS products include the WatchMan500 controller, designed to provide desktop to sensor monitoring and control, including dynamic onboard control and data storage capabilities.
