The Shipyard Superintendent will be responsible for continuous Þ eld su- pervision of all Production Supervi- sors, perform essential duties and responsibilities personally or through coordination with production depart- ments in our Brooklyn, New York loca- tion. Must demonstrate the ability to set production priorities, ensure that man hours are scheduled properly, and that the priorities of the shipyard are met. Establish and maintain sound working relationships with customers and contractors, consistent with the best interests of the company. Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects at once and be ca- pable of handling stressful situations tactfully. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required. Supervisory experi- ence required, along with the ability to work nights and weekends. Bachelor degree in engineering and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in ship construction or repair preferred; or equivalent combination of educa-tion and experience that enables per-formance of all aspects of the posi-tion.
