YES WE ARE BUSY! BUT WE HAVE TIME
AND SPACE FOR YOUR NEXT VESSEL.
It's true. We have many new construction and repair pro-
jects underway. However, we have 17 shipyards and thou-
sands of shipbuilders. So if you need
to build, convert or repair any-
thing from a work boat, to
a double hull ocean-going
barge or even an off-
shore rig, we have
the assets and the
time for your pro-
ject. Our shipyards
team up on projects enabling
us to deliver quicker. Yes, we're busy -
but not too busy for you.

BUSL 49403 is the first of an anticipated 34, 49-ft (15-m) stern
loading buoy boats to be constructed at the USCG yard in Baltimore,
Md., throughout the next three years.
The yard is expected to deliver one vessel every six weeks for the
duration of the $45 million new construction program. BUSL 49403
features a 16,000 lb. deck load, two fixed propellers and two 305-hp
diesel engines. The vessel will be assigned to the Aids-To-Navigation
Team Woods Hole in Woods Hole, Mass., and will
perform USCG aids-to-navigation, marine envi-
ronmental and ice breaking missions. The
USCG expects to reduce maintenance costs and
increase reliability of its short range aids-to-nav-
igation mission by replacing the obsolete buoy
boats with the new BUSLs.
